What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you use the contact form on our website, that will send us whatever information you included in the form. That information is sent via email to email@example.com which is an email account under our direct control.
The first time you visit this site, a browser cookie is generated to identify you as a new visitor. If you were referred to this site by another site, the referral URL is also tracked in a cookie. This allows us to create customized messaging and notices for each of our site visitors. This data is retained in your web browser until cleared by you or your browser.
We collect information about visitors who leave comments on our site, which uses the Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL, along with other information directly provided by you such as your name, username, email address, and the comment itself.
